Sport Psychology and Mental Performance
Andrew offers sport psychology services to individuals, teams, and coaches who are seeking to enhance their performance and manage the inherent stressors of athletics. Andrew aims to treat the whole individual, team or group when providing sport psychology interventions and emphasizes self-awareness, emotional wellbeing, and the development of mental performance skills including mindfulness, cognitive flexibility, imagery, and process-oriented goal setting. Andrew also has experience working with athletes struggling with injury and retirement from sport.
Andrew's interest in sport psychology stems from his experience as a Division 1 Track and Cross Country athlete at the University of Connecticut (UConn). Andrew additionally received training in sport psychology and student-athlete mental health at UCLA and developed comprehensive mental health and sport psychology services at the University of Northern Colorado Athletic Department from 2018-2022. Currently, Andrew provides psychological resources and mental performance support for the On Athletics Club (OAC), a professional running team based in Boulder, Colorado.
Andrew is a member of the US Olympic & Paralympic (USOPC) Mental Health Registry and the Clinical / Counseling Sport Psychology Association (CCSPA).
